Kirsty Dunn (Te Aupōuri, Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi) is a writer and researcher based in Ōhinehou (Lyttelton), Aotearoa (New Zealand).
In addition to holding a Learner driver’s licence for 21 years and being a founding member of “The Backstreet Girls” (a deadly-serious and award-winning tribute act formed in the summer of 1996), she is a mum, reo-learner, playlist enthusiast, wannabe poet, lecturer at the University of Canterbury, and self-appointed hype-girl for Māori and Indigenous literature.
